The philosophy behind Judith Williams perfume creations

Scents not only influence our mood, but also how we are perceived by others. Through perfume, the wearer reveals a lot about themselves—their mood, their character, and sometimes even their intentions. Thus, the chosen perfume becomes part of their personal aura. A great fragrance is not only a daily gift to ourselves. It is also a gift we give to those around us when we hug them. We notice it in the smiles of our loved ones, with whom we share precious moments and memories—day after day.

That is why Judith Williams Cosmetics has, in addition to high-quality care products for Face, Body and hair also unique Women's perfumes on offer.

Judith Williams Cosmetics' fragrance creations are designed in the perfume capital of Grasse on the French Riviera. Together with the finest perfumers, we create distinctive fragrance compositions as a tribute to feminine beauty and power. Our shared goal is to create a fragrance that accompanies the wearer every day, like a second skin. Our exclusive women's fragrances pamper the senses and delight from the very first moment.

What does fragrance pyramid actually mean?

You've probably already noticed that the scent of a perfume changes throughout the day. This is due to the so-called fragrance pyramid, which is how perfumers describe the different phases of fragrance development.

A distinction is made between the top note, the heart note, and the base note. Each of these phases is composed of several fragrance components that, when combined, form a complex fragrance composition.

      • Top note: The top note of a perfume represents the pinnacle of the fragrance pyramid and determines the first impression. This phase of the fragrance often lasts only a few minutes and is intended to pique curiosity about the perfume. The top note is noticeable immediately after spraying onto the skin, once the alcohol has evaporated. Fresh, floral, or fruity components often dominate here.

      • Heart note: Once the top note has evaporated, the heart note takes center stage. As the name suggests, it is the heart of the perfume and forms its distinctive character. The heart note determines the fragrance for up to six hours after application. It is often characterized by floral bouquets and distinctive spicy notes.

      • Base note: The base note forms the foundation of the fragrance. It is what remains after the top and middle notes have evaporated. The base note lingers on the skin for several hours. Lush aromas such as musk, amber, patchouli, or sandalwood are popular components of the base note. Exotic notes such as vanilla or almonds are also very trendy.

      Which perfume suits me?

Are you looking for a new perfume but don't know which notes best complement your personality? Finding the right scent isn't easy for many people. Below, we'll help you figure out what type of perfumer you are and what you expect from your favorite fragrance.

Apply perfume correctly – this makes the scent last longer

      Finding the right job

The intensity of your favorite fragrance can be increased by applying it to areas with good circulation, such as the neck, back of the neck, or the insides of the wrists. This is where the scent develops most quickly. Simply spray the perfume from a distance of 15 to 20 cm for optimal dispersion of the fine mist. The fragrance lasts particularly long on clothing or in the hair.

      The hairbrush trick

For extra long-lasting hold, apply one or two sprays of the eau de parfum to a hairbrush and run it through your hair. After spraying, wait a few seconds until the alcohol has evaporated to protect your hair.

      Longer lasting on well-moisturized skin

Because perfume lasts longer on well-moisturized skin, it is best to apply it after Body care spray on.

      Do not rub perfume

Please do not rub the perfume after spraying it on your skin. Friction destroys the fragrance molecules, which can distort the actual scent.

      Store perfume correctly

Even though these ornate bottles often have great decorative value, they should be stored in a cool, dark place. Heat and light can negatively affect their shelf life.

      Use fragrance sets

Body lotions, shower gels, and deodorants are often available as a fragrance set. This way, your favorite perfume not only lasts longer on your skin, but also stands out more because it's not competing with other scents.

      Fragrance concentration

How long a perfume lasts after application also depends on the concentration of the fragrance oils. Terms like eau de parfum, eau de toilette, and eau de cologne indicate how intense and long-lasting the scent is.
